There are 3 main steps to an effective acne regimen.
1. Wash
An effective face wash is the most important step of an acne routine. A great face wash should include either Glycolic Acid, Salycilic Acid, or both, should be prescription strength, and not too harsh or abrasive on the skin!
2. Exfoliate
Exfoliation is the removal of dead skin cells, and will smooth out your skin and brighten your complexion, making blemishes like acne appear less severe! Exfoliation also reduces breakouts by unclogging all the build up of dirt and grime in your pores. You don't want to use a very abrasive exfoliate, so using a face wash with Glycolic acid will do the trick!
3. Treat
Use multiple acne treatments with various active ingredients to target and kill your acne. Make sure to use an anti-bacterial spot treatment with benzoyl peroxide, retinol to diminish the signs of blemishes, and glycolic and salycilic acid to further target and clear your acne!
