Botox®

Xeomin®
Xeomin (incobotulinumtoxinA, also called botulinum toxin type A), is made from the bacteria that causes botulism. Botulinum toxin blocks nerve activity in the muscles, causing a temporary reduction in muscle activity.
Xeomin is the purest botulinum toxin on the market. Through a proprietary process, the excess proteins are removed from the molecule, thereby decreasing the possibility of an immunity response.
Xeomin is used to temporarily lessen the appearance of facial wrinkles (sometimes called “frown lines”) between the eyebrows, and for upper limb spasticity in adults.
Xeomin is used to treat cervical dystonia (severe spasms in the neck muscles). It is also used to treat muscle spasms (stiffness) in the arms.
Xeomin is also used to treat certain eye muscle conditions caused by nerve disorders. This includes uncontrolled blinking or spasm of the eyelids, and a condition in which the eyes do not point in the same direction.
Dysport®
Dysport is an injectable treatment for temporary improvement of wrinkles in the face such as frown lines. Dysport (abobotulinumtoxinA) aims towards achieving a balance between wrinkles and the “frozen look”. 97% of Dysport users are satisfied and claim they would use the product again.
Dysport specifically targets the lines between the eyebrows to smooth frown lines but allow the face to remain expressive.
Jeuveau™
Jeuveau by Evolus is the newest neurotoxin to join Dr. Kay’s office. Jeuveau is recently FDA approved for temporary improvement of moderate to severe glabellar lines in adults. This toxin is the first cosmetic neurotoxin to be acquire FDA approval in over 10 years!
Jeuveau works almost identically to Botox, Xeomin, and Dysport. It is structurally identical to the existing Botox alternatives, but it is manufactured in South Korea and is gaining popularity among injectors and patients across the United States. Juvéderm® Ultra Plus XC
Juvederm Ultra Plus XC is a dermal hyaluronic acid filler used to add volume to the face, especially in the lips. Produced by Allergan, Juvederm Ultra Plus XC is approved to restore moderate-to-severe facial volume loss. This filler contains lidocaine, a local anisthetic that reduces pain.
Juvederm Ultra Plus XC is an excellent choice to add volume to the lips and provide a natural, beautiful pout. Most patients start with 1 syringe in their initial treatment, and may return for further syringes if they would like additional volume.
Juvéderm® Volbella®
Volbella is an injectable filler based on hyaluronic acid (HA) that provides a desirable improvement in the lip contour, boosting volume, smoothing vertical creases (smoker’s lines), and achieving symmetry – all in a single comfortable treatment. These lip injections are recommended for smoother, softer consistency that mimics the natural feel of your lips for a longer time.
Volbella is a new dermal filler treatment for the lips and Peri-oral area. Designed not only for gentle restoration of natural looking lip volume, it can also be used for defining lip contours, treating oral commissures, smoothing fine ‘barcode’ lines around the lips and supporting the ‘marionette’ lines down the chin. This unique technology allows the product to absorb less water, resulting in considerably reduced swelling compared to more traditional fillers. Not only is there less downtime, the treatment itself is made as pain free as possible by the built-in lidocaine anaesthetic. Results are commonly seen to last up to twelve months.
Juvéderm® Voluma XC®
Juvederm Voluma is designed for maximum lift as it targets volume loss and lifting and is FDA approved to last for up to 2 years! With age, our skin, fat, muscle and bone tend to lose volume, resulting in a thin or hollow appearance around the chin, eyes, cheeks, and cheekbones. This can be a result of the natural decrease in collagen production within our skin, weight loss, or age-related facial fat, soft tissue and even natural bone loss that occurs with time.
Our folds and jowls become more prominent as volume loss and gravity shifts the cheeks downward. Youthful faces are full (think less dramatic version of baby fat), and dermal fillers help restore the hollowing that occurs over time by restoring youthful contours in the cheeks, temples, or even earlobes.

This loss of elasticity and volume results in wrinkles, facial lines, and skin laxity — all of which rob your skin of its youthful, fres appearance.
Radiesse Volumizing Filler will immediately provide the volume and lift needed to diminish the signs of aging because of the calcium-based microspheres and gel that make up the filler. Radiesse provides structure beneath your skin, and also stimulates your own natural collagen to grow. This process will continue for several months, which extends the initial effects of Radiesse. These natural-looking results are proven to last a year or more in many patients.
Belotero Balance®
From the makers of Radiesse comes a new dermal filler called Belotero Balance, which is specifically designed to integrate into your skin and mold to your distinct facial contours. By adapting to the individuality of your skin, it softens lines and wrinkles around the nose and mouth for smooth and natural results that are uniquely you.
Belotero is the least hydrophilic HA filler on the market, meaning that it causes the least amount of post-treatment swelling. It also has virtually no tindle effect, so you won’t have to worry about the filler being visible under the skin.
Belotero Balance has unique properties that allow it to adapt within the skin for soft and even correction. The versatility of Belotero Balance makes it strong enough to handle deep treatment areas such as the smile lines around your mouth, yet it is soft enough to treat delicate areas such as vertical lip lines.
Sculptra® – The Liquid Facelift
Until recently, your only option to tighten aging or sagging facial skin was to have surgery. Now there’s Scuptra, which is a new treatment designed to stimulate the regeneration of your body’s own collagen to smooth out lines and wrinkles, and to restore your lost facial volume. Sculptra is a quick and painless injection, similar to Juvederm, and provides long-lasting results.

If you have sunken cheeks, temple indentations, or hollows under the eyes, Sculptra can be used to promote production of your body’s natural collagen — and it even continues to work long after you complete your treatment! Many patients have report continued volumizing effects for over three years!
Results from Sculptra are not immediate, although you may think that after your first treatment due to swelling. When the swelling subsides a few days after, you may again look the same way you did before the treatment. However, the poly-L-lactic acid will have already begun its magic. Generally, patients require 3-6 treatments, but each individual situation is different.
Restylane®
Restylane® is a clear gel, hyaluronic acid formulation that is ideal for correcting moderate to severe wrinkles of the face – nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and lips. Restylane® is also ideal for filling the hollowing under the eyes. Many patients begin seeing results almost immediately. You may also see some additional swelling due to the injections for the first 2-3 days. Typically, benefits from fillers last 6-12 months. Individual results will vary and you should discuss this withus when you come in for your treatment. You may need “touch-up” treatments to maintain optimal correction of wrinkles.
Restylane Silk®
Kybella®
The active ingredient in KYBELLA® is synthetic deoxycholic acid. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath the chin, KYBELLA®destroys fat cells, resulting in a noticeable reduction in fullness under the chin. Once destroyed, these cells can no longer store or accumulate fat, so further treatment is not expected once you reach your desired aesthetic goal.
Since everyone’s chin profile is different, the number of treatments varies from patient to patient. Dr. Kay will help determine how many treatment sessions you need based on the amount and distribution of your submental fat and your personal treatment goals. Each KYBELLA®treatment session is given at least 1 month apart, and you should not receive more than 6 treatments.
Dr. Kay is now also injecting Kybella in places such as the armpits, inner thighs, and in “bra fat”. If you have fat in areas that you hate, call to set up a consultation!
