Am I a good candidate for this product? Is it safe:

• We recommend that pregnant or breastfeeding women always consult with their healthcare provider before using any products. There are suggestions in the FDA guidelines that certain ingredients should be avoided including hydroquinone, salicylic acid, retinoids and chemical sunscreens.
• Great for teens and adults in good health who seek a treatment for their problematic skin issues.

What to expect during my treatment:

• Upon checking in, new patients will receive intake forms prior to our aesthetician bringing you back to the treatment room.
• At every appointment we take photos to keep track of your skin’s improvements over time.
• We always take our time to discuss any concerns you might have and walk you through the peel process.
• Your treatment begins with gentle cleanse to remove all traces of oils and dirt.
• The Vi Peel is applied in layers during a process which lasts less than 30 minutes.
• You may feel some tingling or light burning during application, but most clients find this sensation brief and tolerable.
• Once the peel penetrates completely, your provider will apply sunscreen.

Downtime:

• The Vi Peel will remain on your skin for at least up to 4 hours. Your at home aftercare instructions with the kit will instruct you with further steps. You will need to refrain from direct sun and avoid other skin products.
• You’re free to apply makeup until the peeling begins

When to expect results:

• Most patients will experience peeling or flaking within 3-5 days of their treatment. Don’t worry! This means the peel is working and should only last a couple days.
• As you peel, resist picking or pulling off the layers skin; just allow the skin to slough off naturally. (*Tip- manicure scissors to snip off loose skin.)
• Picking and peeling can increase your risk of bleeding, prolonged redness, hyperpigmentation, and even scarring.
• After this period, beautiful, healthy glowing skin will emerge with fewer blemishes and a brighter complexion. However, multiple treatments are often necessary to help achieve your goals.
• Because the Vi Peel is a depth peel, your ‘new’ skin may be red and sensitive. However, the level of redness or peeling you experience doesn’t mean the peel is any more or less effective.
• Your results can be extended, if you take good care of your skin, including using sunscreen with an SPF 40 or higher daily. Prevention is key!

Follow up Appointments:

• Suggested every 4-6 weeks. No longer than 8 weeks.
• Everyone’s skin is different, some clients can tolerate VI Peels every 2 weeks, and some only every 4 weeks.
• The average is 4 treatments but will depend on your skin’s needs.
• Recommended to do 3-4 chemical peel treatments yearly.
• Pro Tip: Book your chemical peel during the cooler months or during periods of downtime from work or school.

When will you see results and how long will they last?

• You’ll see your final results about 7 days after the peeling stops. The Vi peel peels off the outermost layers of skin, promoting rapid-cell turnover.
• For optimal results we recommend 4 treatments. However, this does depend on your skin’s needs.
