ThermiSmooth Radio-Frequency Skin Tightening is a carefully controlled, non-invasive tissue heating procedure that employs RF technology to tighten and smooth the skin. Important Safety Considerations:

ThermiSmooth radiofrequency products should not be used on patients who are pregnant, have a fever or skin infection in or around the area treated. Discuss you pacemaker, or metal implants with your provider. Cannot be done over a tattoo.

Is there any downtime, or does it hurt?

In almost all cases, patients who undergo the ThermiSmooth procedure need no recovery time- you can simply get back to your day. In rare cases minors swelling and redness may occur (may look like a mild sunburn, but subsides within 20/30 minutes). Treatment is 30 minutes for face and neck and 45 minutes for the body. Treatments are painless, with patients often comparing it to the feel of a hot stone massage.

How should I prepare for the treatment?

Come to your appointment with no product on the area being treated. You will be asked to remove all jewelry before you begin your treatment. Be sure to drink lots of water and remain hydrated prior to your treatment.

When will I see results and how long will they last?

Most patients begin to see benefits from their procedure after the first treatment, and typically 4 treatments are necessary to achieve optimal results. Treatments for the body will require typically 8 treatments, because of larger surface area. Production of collagen is a gradual process, called collagenesis. So smoothing and tightening changes become more apparent as time goes on, with full results achieved after 3-6 months and lasting one year or longer. Single maintenance treatments are recommended every 9-12 months.

What to do after a ThermiSmooth Skin Tightening treatment?

• Drink plenty of water to help flush out toxins.
• Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 24 hours after your treatment.
• Avoid tanning beds.
• Moisturize the treated area well.
